The Lake Phuket Elephant Home is a sanctuary
dedicated to rescuing domestic elephants from
harsh labor conditions and providing them with a safe, loving environment.
Our mission is to make a difference by educating
visitors about elephant care, welfare, and the
importance of ethical tourism. At our sanctuary, elephants can live freely and happily, away from
the hardships they once faced. We offer ethical tours where guests can observe and learn about these gentle giants in a respectful and responsible
way, fostering a deeper understanding of their
natural behaviors and needs. Our home is not just
a place for elephants-it is a place of compassion,
learning and meaningful change.

A fantastic place! Great communication via WhatsApp regarding the booking, which also gave us 10% off. We were provided with water and tea/ coffee on arrival. They looked after our luggage. The guide was very knowledgable with great English. We prepared snacks for 2 elephants and then fed them in the jungle after a short walk. We watched them play in the water until they left of their own accord for more food! We then chose to kayak around the lake, able to see elephants on the lakes shore line. The guide and kayak instructor took many photos and videos sent to us soon after the trip finished. A truly wonderful place 🐘

An unforgettable experience 🐘💚 This elephant sanctuary truly cares for its animals—no riding, just ethical, respectful interaction. Feeding and walking with the elephants while learning their rescue stories was incredibly special. Possibly the best elephant experience in Phuket. The elephants are truly happy. An amazing, truly ethical experience. We were able to prepare food for the elephants. The history of all elephants was shared as we fed those close to the facility. Before heading out into the nursery to meet , feed and walk with the elephants. Bath time followed, which you can tell the elephants really enjoyed. You can help bath them if you choose. All this was followed by a delicious lunch, which you help to prepare. I can highly recommend The Lake Phuket Elephant home.
