The Lake Phuket Elephant Home is a sanctuary
dedicated to rescuing domestic elephants from
harsh labor conditions and providing them with a safe, loving environment.
Our mission is to make a difference by educating
visitors about elephant care, welfare, and the
importance of ethical tourism. At our sanctuary, elephants can live freely and happily, away from
the hardships they once faced. We offer ethical tours where guests can observe and learn about these gentle giants in a respectful and responsible
way, fostering a deeper understanding of their
natural behaviors and needs. Our home is not just
a place for elephants-it is a place of compassion,
learning and meaningful change.

Our visit to The Lake Phuket Elephant Nursery was one of the most memorable experiences we’ve had as a family. We visited with our 6-year-old, 2-year-old, and 16-month-old, and the team were incredible — so kind, welcoming, and attentive. They went above and beyond to make our children feel comfortable, even helping look after them while we fed the elephants. This is a truly family-run sanctuary, and it shows. A special mention to the manager, Daeng, whose passion and knowledge are clear — he genuinely cares for these beautiful animals. Walking with the elephants through the jungle and seeing them roam freely felt so natural and ethical, and bathing them was absolutely breathtaking. We were also treated to a delicious lunch, which made the experience even more special. The price is phenomenal for everything included, with seamless hotel pick-up and drop-off and we were made to feel like VIPs throughout. We’ve visited other elephant sanctuaries before but this completely surpassed them. If you’re in Phuket, especially with children this is an absolute must 🤍
