The Lake Phuket Elephant Home is a sanctuary
dedicated to rescuing domestic elephants from
harsh labor conditions and providing them with a safe, loving environment.
Our mission is to make a difference by educating
visitors about elephant care, welfare, and the
importance of ethical tourism. At our sanctuary, elephants can live freely and happily, away from
the hardships they once faced. We offer ethical tours where guests can observe and learn about these gentle giants in a respectful and responsible
way, fostering a deeper understanding of their
natural behaviors and needs. Our home is not just
a place for elephants-it is a place of compassion,
learning and meaningful change.

Fantastic experience! There was a great walk with the elephants and bath. Great small group experience! Tour guides were fantastic as well. Meal at the end made it great

Wow, wow, We had an absloute wonderful experience exploring and learnt so much about elephant behaviour, very passionately explained by Mr Daeng. Highly, recommend full day experience. Enjoyed cooking class, made papaya salad from sratch using tradtional pestle & morter method. As a vegetarian, provided an alternative to fish sauce which you don't really need to make a salad. After lunch, we relaxed then went into the forest with Daeng to get food for the elephants. Drove through the forest on a very rough, rugged make shift road. We witnessed chopping of palm trees, very hard work done by Daeng & his team. Unfortunately, the boots were too small for my husband. Suggest, the company to invest in various shoe sizes and shoe cleanser for hgyiene as these are to be worn by different people & to invest in building a proper road. That said, truly unforgettable experience. Getting involved with bathing the elephants is great fun, relaxed. We returned to the elephant santuary to feed the elephants. They certainly devoured nearly all of the palm tree. The staff fetch these tree logs & leaves daily. Suggest the company invest & use automatic chain saw to cut the trees etc. Treasure the memories forever.
